SAVIR’s Antiracism Interest Group Update

2021 Project Imhotep Fellow Ms. Julia Blackwell will help AIG during the summer

Julia is a rising senior at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, GA, with a major in Public Health and minor in Chemistry. Julia will join the Antiracism Interest Group (AIG), and will help the AIG paper team in examining the use of research methods in injury and violence prevention that may help or harm in the promotion of racial equity in injury and violence prevention. Project Imhotep is a CDC-funded summer fellowship that is administered by the Morehouse College in Atlanta. Fellows are minority students interested in public health research and careers. The fellowship grants them the opportunity to work with researchers across the country. In a normal year, the fellows work on site where the projects are housed, however, due to the pandemic the 2021 fellows will work remotely.
